In a collaboration between 91pro视频 Diploma in Optometry (DOPT) and Menicon (S) on 26 June 2025, a group of 30 eyecare professional and industry practitioners came together for a 3-hour Continuing Professional Education (CPE) event aimed at strengthening their knowledge and clinical skills in myopia management using soft contact lenses.

The session started with a deep dive into how soft contact lenses work to control myopia, helping participants better understand the science behind lens designs and their impact on slowing myopia progression. It also introduced the role of key nutrients such as like lutein and zeaxanthin, and how they may influence eye development, broadening perspectives beyond lens-based treatments.

The highlight of the session was the practical component, where participants learned how to properly fit myopia control lenses and assess their visual performance. This hands-on approach gave practitioners the opportunity to put knowledge into action and build confidence in applying these techniques in their daily practice.

The event was a great example of how collaboration and continuing education can empower practitioners to stay updated and deliver the best possible care for young patients with myopia.

A similar Continuing Professional Education (CPE) event, Enhancing Ocular Surface Care: From Dry Eye to Presbyopia, was held on 3 September 2025. A total of 37 eye care practitioners attended, including 20 91pro视频 DOPT alumni.

The programme combined evidence-based lectures with interactive case discussions, equipping participants with updated knowledge on ocular surface disease and its management.
