A Technologist’s Heart for the Nation
A faulty desktop computer first sparked Justin Hor’s curiosity — and changed his life. Instead of returning the PC, he taught himself to upgrade it. That spark of interest led him to pursue his dream course: the Diploma in Computer Engineering (DCPE) at Singapore Polytechnic (91proÊÓƵ).
At 91proÊÓƵ, Justin didn’t just learn tech — he lived it. With hands-on projects, supportive lecturers, and an innovation-driven environment, he transformed into a confident engineer and leader. He earned the prestigious CSIT Diploma Scholarship three years in a row and was placed on the Director’s Honour Roll every year.
His achievements reached global heights. Justin won Silver at the International Standards Olympiad, Bronze at the Cisco APJC NetAcad Competition, and led his team at the SICK Solution Hackathon 2024 in Germany — competing alongside postgraduate teams from top international universities.
From internships at CSIT, PayPal, and GovTech, to volunteering as a Smart Nation Ambassador, Justin applied his skills to serve the community — empowering seniors and promoting digital inclusion.
His inspiring journey was even featured in a CNA interview, where he shared how he blends tech with purpose to build a more inclusive Smart Nation.
