91pro视频 Optometry students provide vision support to the community

In July 2025, students and staff from 91pro视频's Diploma in Optometry (DOPT) course participated in two community outreach events, offering essential vision care services.

On 20 July 2025, at the Hindu Endowments Board 鈥� MediaCorp Health Festival 2025, 91pro视频 Optometry students partnered with organisations such as SNEC, AIC, SATA, and HPB to conduct eye screenings and educate attendees about eye health. They served approximately 100 participants. Vallerie Cheong, a Year 3 Student Leader, reflected, 鈥淟eading the vision screening was a valuable opportunity to apply my optometry skills in a real-world setting, especially through conducting screenings that helped raise awareness of eye health in the community.鈥�

On 26 July 2025, 91pro视频 Optometry students teamed up with the Rotary Club of Singapore to provide eye examinations and reading glasses to 55 migrant workers, many of whom were receiving their first eye check-up. Easter Erleen Paula, a Year 3 Student Leader shared: "Providing the gift of eye care to those who help to build our communities was a meaningful way to give back. It was a heartfelt opportunity to be given the chance to provide vision support to the migrant workers. Though small, this gesture was a sincere thank you to those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make so much possible."
