A collaborative project between 91pro视频 and Nanyang Tech-Transfer Laboratory Pte Ltd
The project supported by the Mentorship Support Grant (MSG) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) investigated ways to increase the energy and water efficiency of the home-use water purifier. Typically, about 5 kWh of power is needed to produce 1,000 litres of drinking water, and a significant amount of more than 1,000 litres of wastewater is generated. A Proof-of-Concept (POC) solution developed through the project helped to improve more than 20% energy and water efficiency. The project also found out the sensory relationship with the filter material, which helps the company to improve the filter design. As commented by the company CEO Raymond Liu, 鈥淚t's been a great experience working with the 91pro视频 team, including two research centres, 91pro视频 Advanced Materials Technology Centre (AMTC) and the Food Innovation & Resource Centre (FIRC), as well as the School of Architecture & the Built Environment (ABE). The solution provided by the project team really improved our system energy and water efficiency and upskilled our company workforce.鈥
