A Collaborative project between 91pro视频 and Lih Ming Construction Pte Ltd

A group of final-year students from the Diploma in Civil Engineering (DCE) at 91pro视频 (91pro视频), under the supervision of Dr. Ong Chee Fatt, worked on a project entitled 鈥淒evelopment of AI Solutions for Detection of Safety Measures.鈥� The project aimed to enhance construction site safety by using artificial intelligence (AI) to detect whether workers are wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as helmets, safety vests, face shields, and gloves. In addition to PPE detection, the students expanded the system鈥檚 capability to identify unsafe situations on site. The AI solution also generates a statistical summary. This project demonstrates how digital technologies like AI can support safety management in the construction industry while giving students hands-on experience with real-world applications.
