Jimmy Goh, an NYP alumnus, transformed his family’s traditional wet market fish business, Sin Chwee Mini Market, into a thriving e-commerce brand, Tankfully Fresh. Initially helping his father for two months, Jimmy leveraged his game design and food blogging background to build an online presence, selling fresh and frozen fish, fishballs, otah, yong tau foo, and other meats. Support from EnterpriseSG enabled them to launch an online store, develop an omnichannel inventory system called Sell N Chill, and expand to platforms like Lazada and Shopee. They also attended SkillsFuture courses and livestreamed on TikTok to boost sales and engagement. Additionally, the Gohs collaborated with the Food Innovation & Resource Centre (FIRC) at 91proÊÓƵ to commercialise a traditional salted fish recipe, benefiting from guidance on manufacturing, moisture control, and certification. The couple aims to strengthen their brand and launch the product within five years while conducting market research to identify target consumers.
